We found this Luna Moth as a caterpillar last July. It formed a cocoon within hours of captivity and we have had it in our schoolroom since the summer. Today we heard a strange scratching noise and noticed the cocoon moving. Within an hour it had hatched. We watched it develop over the next couple of hours......hopefully the weather will warm up a little so we can release it to find a mate.
