One of our families donated lots of Playdoh to Tree House today...the kids had a Playdoh marathon that lasted almost 1.5 hours

As we are learning about China this week, I put China playdoh mapwork on the shelf.

Modeling Day


Working with modeling beeswax strengthens the children's hands, it is more challenging than playdoh but feels so warm in their hands and smells great. We made crescent moons together and then the kids spent some time making their own creations.

the kids prefer sledding on the snow piles over the big hill now that the piles have gotten so high

Dress-up was fun today...it was a blend of some of the fairy tales we have recently been telling.

Our learning focus this week is dinosaurs....on the shelf there is a new dinosaur sorting tray

Today we made Tea Scones to go along with our circle theme of Winter Tea Time.....the kids got to use the pastry cutter for the first time today

We left some bread beneath these pines for the grouse that often shelters here.....we will check back in a few days.
