Sparkle and Flowerpot were blowing suds together today.
We learned about our hearts today.....Peanut is listening to Iish's heart.

Opening and Closing work...there is a little surprise in each item.

Tiger is really interested in learning his letters at is fun to watch how your lips/mouth changes with different sounds.

We went for walk in the rain!

The children love puddles.

A worm rescue.....Tiger noticed that there were not too many worms. In the spring when we walk there are a lot of worms. We only found 5 today. Are they beginning to hibernate already? We talked about this as we walked.

The Tree House Gang on the loose.....the girls walk slow and the boys walk fast so I paired a boy with a girl and presto....everyone walked at a good pace!

Spindle box and name tracing
Peanut working with the triangle and circle trays. I have just presented these as puzzles for the little ones but Peanut was noticing today that some triangles were similar (right angles)some had sides that were the same length and one had 3 sides that were all different lengths.....

Sparkle painting herself.......

We have almost finished making outlines of all the children...we still have to do Wheels who was away this week. I am not sure if we could get Tank to lie still long enough to make an outline of him. We are painting them and putting them on the ceiling in our classroom....this is lots of fun and great for name recognition.

Iish painting his outline.

I introduced the leaf rakes this week.....the children are going to get lots of practice raking leaves in the next few weeks.
The raking supervisor....Tank is just plain "cute".

Iish working with the four seasons tree work.....he is making the Autumn Tree.

Tiger doing "blowing suds" work.
Iish was so proud of his cards and counters work....he wanted me to take a picture to show his mom!

Merlin whisking suds.

Flowerpot doing dropper work.

Our Fall Sensory Tub.

Sensory tubs are not usually found in a Montessori classroom. I like them because the children enjoy them so much and I have fun putting them together.

Iish was being very percise as he built the pink tower cubes vertically.

Everyone got into the Play Doh this morning for a while.
Iish cleaning a mirror....

I switched the easel for a white board....we just tape our paper on it to paint. This is easier for the children to clean and they can use the white board markers on it as well. I also switched our paint aprons for some old shirts....much easier for the children to put on themselves.

Merlin, using the floor bucket, to clean the little bit of paint that got dripped.
Flowerpot enjoying the sensory tub....
