today we learned about Los Posadas and Mexico, we painted and broke our pinata and had bean burritos for lunch

The girls started the day by getting some yarn and making shapes on the floor....they come up with such neat ideas all on their own.....

Time to paint the pinata pig......

The simpliest toys are best....rocks and a truck

Tuesday-wet-on-wet painting

Beginning to paint......the dance of the colour fairies begins

There is something magical about the way the colours dance together on the paper......the paintings are all beautiful

Time to break the pinata

Thinking about the perfect spot to strike

It was helpful having my tall son home from college to help hold the pinata

Finally the pig broke and they got the candy....

The kids love to clip on a play silk and dance....

Playdoh is probably the most popular activity on the shelves....it gets played with everyday

A simple cardboard box is so much fun

Everyone got busy around the table first thing this morning.....

I'm not too sure what they were pretending to be but it was a mode of transportation as they were playing house in one room and traveling to another under the cloth....

We painted wet-on-wet Christmas trees and then decorated them with glitter....

We lit our ice candles to welcome our parents coming home.....

Watching the ice candles....they are so pretty
