Cooking soup in the mud kitchen....."yum, yum"

The children spotted this beautiful spider carrying an egg case across the grass....we all stopped to watch for a while

Our dinosaur bone digging hole became an insect trap yesterday and today it has been transformed into a lake for dinosaurs.....

On the way out the door this morning this little guy told me he wasn't going to play today........I wondered what he meant and waited to see what he would do.....he went straight to the sandbox and spent almost the entire morning "working" happily. He did come out a few times to check out what all his friends were doing but always went back to the sandbox.

This is the hole the children have been working on to find dinosaur bones.....this morning they discovered that it is a perfect insect trap.

Cooking with insects....the children thought it was funny to pretend to eat insects. I showed them some insect dishes that people eat. They decided to make an "Insect Eatery" and design their own insect menu.
