Tiger has been working on this model of a steam engine...it has 10 steps and will take a few more days to complete, today he began some of the painting.

The tape is still the big interest at the boat building table for my 3yr old girls.....

And the boat building begins......

Princess and Marble were busy designing a boat they wanted to build.

A little help from Mom during our Lantern Walk....the rest of the pictures were too dark unfortunately.

Princess wanted to know how tall she was...so I measured her, of course everyone else wanted measured too. Princess sorted all the heights from shortest to tallest. I then asked her if she would like to make a graph. We made a simple bar graph together of all her friend's heights.

Tank is starting to fill his entire page.....a new developmental step for him! Here he is painting with a toothbrush!

In the past we have done experiments to see what floats and what sinks. The children asked why do big ships made of metal not sink? We did an experiment to show how the shape of the metal causes upthrust and makes the ship float.

I set up an invitation to build boats....the younger children were really interested in the coloured electrical tape. They found it challenging to cut!

Tiger and Peanut decided they wanted to make a map they could play on.....Tiger wanted to make train tracks and roads and Peanut wanted to do the buildings. They planned their project.

These two are great friends.....building structures with the styrofoam balls and toothpicks followed by a little yoga!

This is a very popular fine motor activity....its just toothpicks and styrofoam balls. The children have been so creative with this activity this week.

We used our insets to create Aboriginal dot art....

Play Doh is always lots of fun.....
